Overview
Luminus’ projection LEDs have been engineered to deliver very high brightness for Projection Displays and to ultimately replace
mercury discharge lamps with an environmentally friendly, solid-state light source.
Capable of a median lifetime in excess of 60,000 hours, Big Chip LEDs practically eliminate the need for lamp replacement while
enabling maintenance-free systems with instant start capability and increased color gamut. They are compatible with all micro-
display technologies including DLP?, 3LCD and LCoS.
With millions of units sold to date, Big Chip LEDs have enabled lamp-free projection in a wide spectrum of systems and applications,
from pico-projectors to mainstream business/education projectors. Luminus projection LEDs offer low cost of ownership, high
availability and consistent color and picture quality. As a result, they are increasingly being adopted in front and rear projection
applications such as video walls for control rooms, simulation projectors and creative digital signage solutions.
